Letting Go- Words to Live Bye

LETTING GO

To "let go" does not mean to stop caring; it means I can't do it for someone else.
To "let go" is not to cut myself off, it's the realization I can't control another.
To "let go" is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.
To "let go" is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To "let go" is not to try to change or blame another; it's to make the most of myself.
To "let go" is not to care for, but to care about.
To "let go" is not to fix, but to be supportive.
To "let go" is not is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
To "let go" is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies.
To "let go" is not to be protective; it's to permit another to face reality.
To "let go" is not to deny, but to accept.
To "let go" is not to nag, scold or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To "let go" is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes, and cherish myself in it.
To "let go" is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.
To "let go" is to fear less and love more.

Letting go is one of the hardest lessons to learn in our lifetime. Refusing to let go of the past, only serves as a roadblock to love.

In our lives we all must learn to let go of people, places, situations, expectations and it can be very painful during the process. It seems never ending, just when I let go of something, up pops something else. But I always find that on the other side there is a tremendous amount of growth and such joy inherent within that growth.

Learning to let go of your old self to allow a new you to emerge can be one of the most frightening experiences in your life. But by leaving behind your old self and taking a leap of faith into the unknown, you are opening up the channels to allow yourself to be someone more amazing than you could ever dream of being. During this process, be patient with yourself, have compassion for yourself, letting go isn't an easy thing to do.

I have found that when I let go and let God's plan take hold, that it is much grander and more beautiful than anything I ever imagined.
